Security month is underway
At Geomatikk Group, we are committed to protecting and securing critical infrastructure data on behalf of our clients in the Nordics.
To kickstart National Security Month, today we launched a dedicated security training for all our 55 developers at Geomatikk and Keypro.
All developers will now complete a training program and achieve certifications through the SecureFlag platform. SecureFlag is a hands-on training platform designed to enhance developers' secure coding skills via exercises in the working environments they operate in daily. These certifications are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
We are now introducing this as a competence requirement for all our developers, with the goal of providing our developers with a tool for continuous improvement in building secure code in our environments and simultaneously enhancing their individual security expertise.
Security First: With an ever-increasing prevalence of cybercrime worldwide, security is an absolutely crucial priority. Cybercriminals are becoming increasingly well-equipped and sophisticated, and we must be prepared to protect our systems and data from potential attacks.
Prevention is Key: Reactively addressing security issues can lead to increased costs and development delays. The most effective way to reduce security issues is to prevent them from arising in the first place. Training in secure coding equips our developers with the knowledge they need to build safer software from the ground up and to think defensively and proactively about security.
Security by Design: To achieve lasting success, security activities must be integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. This ensures early detection and handling of vulnerabilities.
Continuous Learning: In the ever-changing world of cybersecurity, staying up-to-date is crucial. The SecureFlag platform is just one example of how we invest in our developers' skills and knowledge to stay one step ahead in protecting our clients' assets.
